Working with OH Works

OH Works is a National Occupational Health Service that delivers comprehensive occupational health solutions to NHS and Education sector clients. After evaluating our service offerings, they approached us to enhance their OH Physiotherapy delivery.

The Challenge

Through initial scoping meetings, we identified that they were working with multiple Physiotherapy providers across various client contracts. Their preference was to consolidate these services under a single national provider. Additionally, they faced challenges such as short-notice clinic cancellations, frequent changes in clinicians leading to inconsistent service delivery, and difficulties in managing client complaints

Our approach

Based on our scoping meetings, we submitted a proposal positioning us as the sole provider of their MSK Physiotherapy services. We emphasised our strengths, including a full-time, dedicated support team adept at managing referrals, processing reports, and planning clinical schedules. We also highlighted our clinical expertise, supported by our Learning & Development team, which ensures that all our clinicians are highly trained in OH assessment, treatment, and report writing, ensuring consistent management of employee work fitness issues.

Result

Our partnership began two years ago with ad hoc referrals from an Education Sector client, enabling us to demonstrate the quality of our assessments and reporting. Shortly thereafter, our relationship deepened as we consistently delivered high-quality assessments and timely work fitness reports. This success led to our involvement in four full-day onsite clinics per month for their NHS clients, further showcasing our expertise in resource planning and the consistent delivery of OH Physiotherapy services. Over the past 18 months, our collaboration has flourished, and we now provide over 30 days of physiotherapy services monthly. The National Occupational Health Service Provider and their clients regularly commend us through Patient Satisfaction Questionnaires (PSQs) for our exceptional clinical quality, employee support, and overall service experience.
