Keep your employees healthy, minimise absence and save costs with convenient workplace flu vaccinations for employees

Flu season runs from September to March every year in the UK, which is when the population becomes most prone to falling ill. The contagious spread of the flu through the working environment is inevitable, as are the costly sick days of those infected.

Widespread use of the flu vaccination could save up to £28.9 million in lost sick day costs, in addition to increased productivity at work. (ILCUK)

Keep your team healthy by preparing them for flu season

Flu-related absences are one of the biggest causes of sickness absence in the UK, costing UK businesses an estimated £29 billion every year. Even in otherwise healthy individuals, flu typically takes between one and two weeks to fully recover from. This can cost businesses as much as £875 to £1,751 per employee. The flu vaccine is the best way to protect your employees against ill health and to minimise disruption to your business.

According to the NHS, more people are likely to get flu this winter as fewer people will have built up natural immunity to it during the COVID-19 pandemic. The flu strain varies each year, so it is best to get a vaccination annually.

Our workplace flu vaccine service

We can arrange for our experienced Response Occupational Health team to visit your workplace and provide your employees with an on-site vaccination service that is most convenient for them.

Flu vaccinations are delivered by fully qualified occupational health advisors who specialise in the administration of vaccines. Each individual wishing to receive a flu jab will need to fill out a consent form prior to vaccination, which features a number of basic questions. We are also obliged to explain the possible side effects. You cannot force someone to take the vaccine if they do not wish to receive it.

All equipment and vaccines will be supplied and delivered to the highest possible clinical standards.
